Bringing a three-year-old to Burnley game
|
I sit in the BML. I'm thinking of bringing my boy to the game. Not sure if this is a good idea or not.
Have you brought your kids to a game at this age and would you recommend it?
Or were you brought to Upton Park at that age?

Thanks for your wisdom. I'm not going to take him. It was heart over head, the reality of taking him is not going to be that fun for either of us.
It's not going to be that fun for me without him, but at least I can get shit faced.

Tell him to bring his boots couldn't be any worse than what we've had playing for us last

If you truly love your kid, do everything in your power to discourage him supporting WHUFC. He'll have enough grief and misery to deal with during his lifetime, it would be cruel of you to add to it.

Take him to a Burnley home game.
He'll have a lot more fun supporting them.

Take him to the cinema, take him to crazy golf, take him anywhere but there. Do not inflict this misery on your son. Evere. I took all my daughters to home and away games, the middle one was mascot for her 11th birthday (lost 5-1 at home to Leeds, what a surprise) and they have never forgiven me. Seriously 8 is the minimum surely.

Far too young to be able to sit there for 90 mins plus half time etc. Will be doing your nut in.
You might be able to get away with it with Ipad/colouring pens and paper/chocolate etc.
I think five is the absolute youngest for home games. Six or seven much better. Away games little kids are more entertained as there is a lot more noise and movement.

Too young for me. Not from a safety perspective but he will get bored. Be prepared to go home at half time as either:
Cold Bored Tired Hungry Thirsty Asleep

Kid is too young in my view. Better to take the child to somewhere with smaller crowds such a Dagenham or another local non league club near you.

bring some earphones if you're giving him a screen to keep him occupied.
for a while at the Palace game all I could hear was Peppa Pig from the 4 year old in front of me.
I took Sarge jr to his first game age 5 - Fulham away on NYE when Nolan got his red card. We had seats right at the front of the neutral end. on the morning of the game and as it was chucking it down all day I rang them to ask if we could move.
They swapped us for a couple of returns further back in the same end.
wouldn't need to happen with our iconic roof of course...................

I took both of mine at 4. They were fine For about an hour and then I had to work to keep them interested in the game.

What on earth has the kid done wrong to get this level of punishment?
Did he burn the house down?
